Asik-Asik Falls


Asik-Asik from the visayan word of "talsik" - in english splashing of waters
This one of a kind falls is located at  Dado, Alamada North Cotabato .
Alamada is a 1st class municipality in the province of Cotabato, Philippines. According to LGPMS (as of 2009), it has a population of 55,865 people in 14,966 households.
The town is named after the local chieftain, Datu Alamada.

How to get here? - From Cotabato City Awang Airport, => City Proper => Bus or Van to Libungan North Cotabato - 30 min => Dado Alamada => Asik-asik =  1 hour.
Time travel Maximum of 2 hours

This waterfall is one of a kind 

 

Alkaline waterfall proven, as we get to waters are so cold, its like a freezing temperature. Waters are from the middle of the mountain which have stones, unidentified or no one knows where is the water source yet. A lot of people drink the water and I also try it, it taste even better on a spring water which we buy on bottles. So amazing place and one of a kind.

Transportation - How we get here? theres a lot of ways how to get to Asik-asik
Option 1 - From Libungan Terminal you can ride/commute highwheels jeep to Dado/Alamada. 
From Dado you can ride habal-habal cost __? depends on driver, direct to Asik-asik falls. 
Option 2 - You can hire owner jeep as we do worth 2,000 roundtrip from Libungan-Dado Asik-asik falls.
Entrance is 30 pesos / person.

From the upper side of the mountain around 15 minutes hiking stairs 400+ steps before you can see the amazing falls.





As you can see at the signage Bawal kOmain dito =) not Kumain .. No foods allowed on the river or falls

From this falls theres portion were you can eat at the cottages, and also bring banig or cloth it is also better to have like a picnic style while eating with amazing falls view on the side.
No foods allowed on water falls , drinks are available on stores when you start to walk down stairs.

 When your going up, after a tiring steps from the falls, you can hire horse back riding for only 50pesos. up to the upper part of the hill. Im pretty sure you will surrender on walking if your not an athletic person. like me =)..

Fact note - * Use comfortable shoes for hiking  
* Slow down on the ladder steps on going down, dont be to excited =)
* Bring empty bottle for you to get water from falls to drink
* Bring Food
  
Meet locals for them to assist you for transpo and other stuffs

Fare 200 / person - minimum of 10 pax
Food - We bring food and buy drinks available at the stores
Entrance - 30 pesos / person
Horse back riding - 50 pesos / person
